WHEN Membership Rules

1. As a member of WHEN, my family and I agree to conduct ourselves with integrity and courtesy. Parents are responsible for making sure children behave appropriately at all activities and field trips. All rules and guidelines will be strictly followed for all activities and programs in which WHEN participates.
2. I agree that if I am personally unable to keep a commitment myself, I am responsible to find someone else to do it.
3. I understand that neither I nor my activity committee is at liberty to cancel an official WHEN activity. We are free, however, to postpone it or change it according to the needs of our committee and the greater WHEN membership.
4. I agree to keep all phone numbers and addresses of any other WHEN members strictly confidential and will not allow them to be used for any purpose other than WHEN related activities.
5. I agree to read and follow all rules from companies who sponsor educational activities and accept rewards only for our own immediate family members who are school-aged and meet guidelines.
6. I understand that failing to honor any of these guidelines is grounds for loss of my family’s membership in WHEN.

Hold Harmless Agreement

1. I understand that anyone involved in an event sponsored by any WHEN member may be involved in recreational, academic, extracurricular, and other activities which involve potential risk of injuries such as strains, sprains, pulls, cramps, infection, insect bites, broken bones, fractures, heat exhaustion, fainting, nerve damage, shock, paralysis and, in extreme cases, death, attend the activities at his/her own risk. I understand that neither WHEN, its leadership nor anyone sponsoring an activity assumes liability for injuries sustained in or at these activities.
2. I understand that I should instruct my family, children/grandchildren or any I have assumed responsibility for to communicate with me regarding his/her plans to participate in activities and that I should instruct him/her not to participate in activities which, in my view, pose a possible risk to his/her health or well being.
3. I understand at all events sponsored by WHEN or their affiliates, I am responsible for my own children and the injuries they may incur while attending WHEN activities. I understand by agreeing to the membership disclosure, I agree to accept any and all responsibility for all those who come with me or are related to me. With this responsibility I choose to accept any and all responsibility for their safety and welfare while participating, with a full understanding of the risks involved. I/we release and hold harmless any of those in charge of the activities and agree to take no legal action against them because of any accident or mishap involving participation.
